Before and...not-so-before part 3

The saga of contractors continues.  While we've been working through that situation, we've been doing a ton of work outside; unfortunately, I haven't organized all the photos yet.  So instead, here's an installment of Before and Not-so-before featuring the second bedroom.

Here's the before:

1960s wood paneling and acoustic ceiling tiles.

Another view.  Don't you love the negative space where there had previously been picture frames? This makes me want to clean every surface in my own house for fear of ever letting it get this bad. Note yet another water leak.

Mom and Dad pulled the ceiling tiles and wood paneling down.  Behind it is some old wallpaper.  All things considered, this isn't horrible wallpaper.

Here's a closer view of the wallpaper.  Since wallpaper is back, I'd be curious to see if someone still makes this.  Not that I'd actually use it later, just out of curiosity.

And the not-so-before of the second bedroom.

Door on the left goes down the hallway.  You can see the hole where the telephone nook used to be. The door on the right is a closet.

From the other direction the sunroom is straight ahead.  The door on the right is a small closet.

And another angle, with the closet door on the left and the hallway door on the right.  If you were keeping count, there are four doorways and a group of windows in this room.  Furniture placement is going to get interesting.  But that is a subject for another day.

That's all from Wisteria Bend for now.
